Resetting An Account Password

At MediaFire, we understand that passwords can sometimes be lost or forgotten, and we’re here to help! Follow these quick steps to reset your password and regain access to your account.

Step 1: Request a Password Reset

While attempting to log in, click the Forgot Password link and enter your email address. You’ll receive an email with a link to reset your password.

Step 2: Follow the Instructions in the Email

Once you receive the password reset email, carefully follow these instructions:

  1. Click the link provided to reset your password.
  2. Your browser will redirect you to a MediaFire page. Here, you can enter a new password.
  3. For your security, choose a unique password that you haven't used on other websites. A strong password should contain more than eight characters and include a mix of lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers, and special characters.

Didn’t Receive the Password Reset Email?

If you don’t see the password reset email, try these steps:

  1. Check your spam folder for the email.
  2. To prevent future emails from being marked as spam, add resetpassword@mediafire.com to your safe sender list.
  3. Double-check that you entered the correct email address by revisiting the Forgot Password form and resubmitting it.
  4. If you have multiple email addresses, try all of them. If you can’t remember an old email address, search your inbox for past correspondence that might indicate which one you used. If it's an old Gmail, Yahoo, etc. account, consider reactivating or setting it up again.

These steps are the quickest and easiest ways to regain access to your account.
