Through the MediaFire Web Interface Premium Subscribers can create 1-Time Download links. This link can then be shared with another user. Once a user receives a 1-Time Download link they can only download the file to their device (it cannot be viewed on the MediaFire Web Interface). After the user downloads the file, the link cannot be downloaded by another user. This link has various options such as sending a notification email when it is accessed and setting an expiration date. Once the link expires, it can no longer be used.
Please Note: One-Time download links is paid feature available to those with an upgraded subscription.
To create a 1-Time Download link, follow these steps:
Locate the resource for which you would like to create a 1-Time Download link.
1. Right-click the resource. Select the menu item Share.
Alternatively, you can also highlight a resource by selecting the box next to the resource name. (more than one resource can be chosen for bulk sharing)
Once the selection box is checked, a new tool bar will appear at the top of your screen, choose Share.
2. After Share is selected the sharing dialogue box will appear. Select More Sharing Options... at the bottom of the box.
3. Your sharing dialogue box will expand. Select 1-Time Link.
4. The 1-Time Link dialogue will appear. Select the green Generate button to create your 1-Time Download link.
5. The link will be created and has various options.
- The green Generate button will generate a new one time download link.
- Select the box next to Email me when accessed to receive a notification email when the download link is activated.
- The 1-Time Downloads remaining message lets you know how many more links you can create today. Free users are allotted 10 links per day, Pro-Users are allotted 100 per day, and Business Class users are allotted 1000 per day.
- The Chain Link icon allows you to copy the 1-Time Download link to your clipboard. You can then paste the link in any social media platform, such as email, a blog, and your Facebook Newsfeed.
- The last indicator lets you choose how long your 1-Time Download link can be active. The options are 1-30 days. After the link has expired, the user can no longer access the download link. The download link would have to be regenerated for further access.
To create a 1-Time Download link, follow these steps:
Locate the resource for which you would like to create a 1-Time Download link.
- Right-click the resource. Select the menu item Share.
